Bring the Poor Family Home to Chino

A family, the Poor Family, from our school community here in Chino, CA moved to Asheville, NC in June seeking a different life for their two children. Unfortunately, a couple days before they were moving, the mom and dad separated. The dad had already moved all of their belongings to North Carolina and was just waiting for school to get out to move the family as the parents had agreed upon. He continued with the family plans and he and his boys moved to North Carolina.
The dad, Kenny Poor, has two beautiful boys Kaylen (8) and Shay (3). T he young boys are sweet and adorable. Yet they are confused about their current situation. Kenny Poor is an active member in their Church, Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar. He is also an involved parent at the school which Kaylen attended.
At this point, the family is now struggling financially. The dad has not been able to work through the summer months because he has no one to watch the children nor can he pay for child care. He does not have any family or friends in NC to support him. His finanacial means have been depleted and the family is on the verge of being homeless in North Carolina.
Kenny Poor has decided it is best to move his boys back to Chino, CA where they have a familiar school, neighborhood, and community. They have support of their local church, Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar. There are resources in Chino for him to take advantage of when he gets here. When he returns to Chino, Kenny will be able to begin working again as a Lyft Driver while his children are in school. The difficulty is getting them back to Chino.
The purpose of this Go Fund Me account is to raise money to assist this beautiful family in returning to Chino, CA. They don’t have a lot of belongings, but enough to need some type of moving vehicle. The father has a car, but he would need assistance with gas, moving truck/trailer rental, food along the way, and lodging along the way.
Any monetary donation will assist the Poor family. The Poor family is a great family whom we would love to see return to our neighborhood, school, and community. The community feels compelled to assist them in any way we can to bring them back to Chino. Any donations will be used immedately in order to assist in moving the Poor family as quickly as possible.
