Nurse Yam needs our help

Our friend, Yam Anderson from Sydney, Australia, is a dedicated nurse, devoted mother, and talented musician, and is in desperate need of your help to prolong her life after being recently diagnosed with an incurable stage 4 lung cancer that also spread to her ovaries and pelvis. The diagnosis came as a total shock to her and her husband Brian, as she only recently turned 40 and is not a smoker. She has been in and out of hospital for tests and surgery.  Her drug treatment’s out-of-pocket cost is $7200 per month, and she must continue this treatment to delay the  progression of her devastating illness, in the hope that it will extend her life. Unfortunately, as the family is in the process of applying for permanent residence here in Australia, the drug costs are not covered by Medicare. Her family’s resources are totally depleted and they are struggling to cope financially, having to rely only on Brian's income, as she is now unable to work as a nurse caring for the elderly. Brian works hard and long to provide for the family but does not earn enough to sustain both the family’s living expenses and Yam’s treatment.  Her young sons David (12), and Paul (8) are broken-hearted at the thought of losing their mother soon if they are unable to pay for her treatment.  Let us all show our love and support to Yam and her family, make them all feel that they matter and we truly care.  Your generous donation to Yam’s treatment will definitely extend her life, ease her family’s heartache, and will surely make a difference in her young boys’ lives.   Thank you!
