Please Help Fudge!
Every year I raise money for animals who have serious medical needs or injuries and have no family to care for them.
We found a dog we named Fudge, because his muzzle looks like he dipped it in fudge :)
The owners moved and left Fudge by a tree well in the front yard (see photo) perhaps because he can't walk.
Fudge was found dirty, hungry and thirsty.
He's unable to walk, when he tries, his back legs are shakey and he collapses. My Vet Tech friend Lisa, (who I can always count on) had X-rays taken of his back legs and spine.
It seems to be something wrong with his spine, which does not appear on X-rays, therefore specialized imaging is necessary to locate the source of the problem or injury.
So I'm hoping my friends can help me raise money so Fudge can get the specialized care he so badly needs.
We can't start his care. till we can raise the money, so it's pretty urgent!
Vet Hospitals always give you a range, dependant on what is needed.
Right now, the price given is $2,500 and he may require surgery which could potentially exceed $5,000 or more.
I will start this GoFundMe at $2,500 and I'll be updating the costs needed after tests are completed.
What your donation will help pay for: Includes hospitalization, a visit with a Neurologist, a procedure called a myelogram, which injects special die into the spine which surrounds the spinal cord and allows it appear on X-rays. A possible MRI or CT scan to locate where the nerves are which may be necessary for surgical repair.
