Please help me keep my daughters safe

A difficult story to share, but please help me support my children back in Uganda


Dear everyone,

 
My name is Harriet, a single mother of 3 daughters. With pain in my heart I had to leave my daughters behind and had to leave Uganda for my own safety because of my personal reasons. In 2016 I arrived in the Netherlands, I’m preparing for asylum for the second time at the moment.  Now I am staying at the Maya Angelou Shelter in Amsterdam East. In a few weeks I will be ready to go apply for asylum again at Ter Apel, and soon after that I want to bring my daughters to the Netherlands through family reunification. Unfortunately I need urgent help now concerning the following. 

I’m writing this message for the safety of my daughters. When I had to leave my daughters, my family was so kind to take care of them and take them in to their house. This was very generous of them, but 3 weeks ago my daughter called me in tears. Her nephew has been assaulting her sexually, raped and blackmails her.

Needles to say, my daughters can not longer stay in the house with my nephew. Until I get granted asylum, there is no possibility for family reunification. Luckily I found a friend who can take care of my daughters and keep them safe.

Unfortunately she is financially not able to support them, together they need each month 460 euro to survive. I’m trying to give as much money as I can, but due to the law I’m not allowed to work in the Netherlands. Because of this I’m in need of your help. Could you all together help please my daughters stay at a safe place?
 

I’m hoping to raise enough money for 3 months, that would be 1380 euros. Every little bit would help to keep them safe, I will be forever grateful.
