Final update Lamine tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident last month, in London, England. We tried our hardest for him to be returned to his mother Kheira Ganoun and his family in Algeria so he can be buried with his grandmother. We instructed London firm lawyers Nicholls & Nicholls, to help us with this challenge. With your help and support, we were able to go twice to the highest court in England to do everything we could. During the 1st hearing, we discovered he had already been buried, in a Muslim cemetery but in a fake name. During the 2nd high court hearing the Courts have recognised his true identity and the records will reflect his real name. We can confirm that Lamine will remain buried in London, England. It has been an extremely emotional time for his family and close friends and we’re grateful for all the kind wishes, help, generous financial support and prayers from people all around the world. You can find the judgement here- https://www.bailii.org/cgi-bin/format.cgi?doc=/ew/cases/EWHC/Ch/2020/2743.html&query=(Ganoun) For clarity here is detailed explanation of how the funds will be spent Total raised on line. £34931.00 GoFundMe fees. £1357.66 Remaining total £33.573.34 From the remaining total £33573.34 Lawyers Fees £21600 Remaining Balance £11973.34 I will be personally sending the remaining balance to Lamine’s Mother Kheira & family to help them with the arrangement to travel to the UK to visit Lamine’s grave and pay their respect. Great news is that there has been no cremation and we have already had a hearing in the High Court in London. We will continue to use the judicial system to make sure Lamine’s family get justice. Thank you for all your help and support so far. We will update you again soon!
