Please Help My Selfless Uncle Fight Lung Cancer

I have it on my heart to raise money for my uncle, Robert (Rob) Eversole, to lessen the burden as he fights lung cancer. (Squamous Cell Carcinoma Stage 3B)

My father, his brother, died of cancer when I was a little girl. I know how difficult the fight is both emotionally and financially. I want and need to help him in honor of my Dad.

Someone who is fighting for his/her life due to Cancer or any life threatening illness should NOT have to worry about finances.

Uncle Rob lives on a fixed income so there is little money to spare on a normal basis.

He suffers from severe anxiety and worries about his cancer and finances constantly. But he has too much pride to ask for help. So that's why I need to do it for him.

He has two daughters, my cousins. One lives here in Kentucky. She is caring for him. The other lives in Tennessee. Due to the limitations of Covid-19, she cannot be here to help. Although she has helped financially when she can. We are trying to prevent any risk of him contracting anything that will hurt his chances of survival.

He has 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren he thinks the world of. He's fighting for them and himself!

My cousin, Jacqualine, is his daughter that is here in Ky. Since his diagnosis, she stopped working to care for him full time.

The costs of traveling to and from doctors appointments for test after test for months now has put a huge financial burden on the family already.

Paying for food, gas, hotels, etc. has already taken more than what they have.

They still have the necessary regular bills to pay at home as well. Those don't go away.

Jacqualine has a husband and a daughter to care for also.

Uncle Rob will hopefully start chemotherapy and radiation this week. He will do this for 6 weeks. They will have to travel to Lexington every week staying in a hotel near the hospital all week long for his treatments. They hope to come home on weekends.

Traveling is also hard on him because he has suffered from chronic pain for over 30 years. The ride is painful.

Uncle Rob has been selfless his whole life helping anyone who needed it. (Family and strangers alike). He has and will give you his last dime if he thinks you need it. He has done this many times, expecting nothing in return.

He took it upon himself to keep our two family cemeteries clean and perfectly manicured for decades. One of them is where my Dad was laid to rest.

As I've said, he would never ask for help on his own. I have taken it upon myself to start this fundraiser.
