Paul & Jennie Platt Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Paul and Jennie Platt have served children in need for over 50 years at Mountain Mission School.

Sadly, they lost their oldest son to an unidentified type of cancer last week after a brief but challenging battle.

To make matters worse, On the first leg of their flight from Virginia to Dallas to bury their son, Jennie fell ill and was hospitalized in Atlanta.  After her release, Jennie fell unconscious again at the airport waiting for the rescheduled flight .  She was taken to another hospital where she languished for two more days while Paul went on to attend their son's funeral alone. Paul returned and joined Jennie for the ride back to MMS after staying locally with two of their MMS "children" for a couple of days.

Then another shoe fell when they learned their middle son was in critical condition due to a failed liver and failing kidneys.  At this writing, they are preparing to make the nine hour round trip to visit their ailing son, which delays a needed specialist appointment to determine the cause of Jennie's fainting spells.

This fund has been established at the request of friends and many of their adult MMS children who want to express their gratitude for the care they received by cushioning the financial shockwave resulting from this very difficult and trying series of events.

Thanks Paul and Jennie Platt for all you've done! We love you!
