Kristeen & Shannon's Fire

On August 2 my friends Kristeen and Shannon had a fire in the kitchen of their apartment. They had to call the fire department for assistance. Luckily, they were able to put the fire out, and no one was hurt. Unfortunately their apartment needs to be professionally cleaned and repainted due to smoke and chemical damage. They may have to replace their stove and kitchen cabinetry. They are unable to live in the apartment until all the work is done. (continues below photos)



The landlord is not assisting with any of this, so Kristeen and Shannon have to come up with the money to cover the costs. Both Kristeen and Shannon are blind, and they live on disability checks from the government. They are barely able to afford their monthly expenses, let alone the extreme amount of money it will cost to make their home livable again.



These women are very caring, and are very generous with their time and energies helping me, their physically disabled neighbor (and creator of this fundraiser). Kristeen also provides friends with Mac computer and iPhone coaching. Shannon provides friends with life coaching and emotional support. Now they need our help. Let's pull together as a community and give them what they need!
