<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Room 623, Harlem’s Speakeasy Jazz Club first opened its doors in April 2019…</strong>when veteran Jazz singer, songwriter and entrepreneur, Marcus Goldhaber presented owner/restaurateur &amp; Harlem native, Adriane Ferguson with the concept of converting her private event space into a Jazz club.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Mission: </strong>
</div>
<div><strong>To create a positive, diverse and inclusive space to celebrate immersive live Jazz and Jazz history!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After several pandemic related closings &amp; reopenings, the doors have now remained consistently open for the past five and a half years with weekly performances Wednesdays-Sundays.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sadly, we recently had to close our doors on 119th street on October 31st, 2024.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we’ve celebrated many milestones...from sold out performances and international recognition to employing a truly egalitarian performance calendar of thousands of musicians! Together, you helped inspire the donation of a beautiful brand new upright acoustic Yamaha piano from one of our beloved audience members - - Thank you again to Stuart Holland!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With your continued support and engagement, the story of Room 623 won't end here...

<div>If you've been to Room 623, you know the vibe we offer is positive, healing, diverse, inclusive and <em>SWINGIN'!</em> Inspired by the "legacy clubs" of the past, our goal is to honor that history, while celebrating what Jazz is now, what it is becoming and hold space for us all to come together and find our collective common ground through live music.
