<div><strong>Last Thursday, my life changed in an instant when a fire broke out in our home. Smoke was pouring out of the second and third floor windows, and I was terrified for my family. My dog was inside, but I was able to save her, and I had my granddaughter with me—she was so afraid. We lost our home completely, and to make matters worse, we did not have any insurance to help us recover. </strong>

<div><strong> Since the fire, we have used all of our funds just to pay for a hotel and food. Now, we have to leave our temporary lodging and are left with only a few essential items and the clothes on our backs. It’s been so difficult trying to find a secure place for my family, and all I want is to feel safe again. </strong>
