I've been studying French for almost 7 years now and I've always wanted to go to France and immerse myself in the language and culture. I've been a French teacher aid, taken the French AP exam, was involved in French club when it was offered, been to a French immersion camp, and am currently a French tutor on the college level. I love the French language and there is a very likely chance I will never have this opportunity again. Financing is the only hurdle I have to get over. I've been applying to numerous scholarships and grants to help with the cost but that may not be enough. The $4,600 will cover almost everything (round trip air plane tickets, room and board, food, classes, and weekly excursions). The attached video is about a student from my university who participated in the study abroad program and how it has impacted her. I include this video because I want to have the chance to have that experience and be there for myself. There is also a link for more information about the program itself!
