Paul's Surgery Expenses

As many of you know, Paul has just had brain surgery. Prior to discovering the mass in his cerebellum, Paul had been experiencing chronic headaches, virdigo and dizziness. It took over a year to find the source of these symptoms. Doctors say that the mass they found could have been there for over 10 years. Fortunately, the mass was found not to be cancerous. Recovery has its own challenges though, as Paul is not able to preform his regular activities and is overwhelmed with medical bills. The total cost of his surgery was around $100, 000, the expectation is that Paul pay $15,000 of that total out of pocket. Given the situation, this is a hard feat to make. Most who know Paul, know him as the Oasis Center supervisor, where he invests so much of his time and energy into the youth of Port Orchard. A  giver at heart, it is difficult for Paul to ask for assistance. However, these circumstances are beyond his own ability. I know how Paul wishes to return to work and to continue to pour into the community he cares so deeply about. With a financial burden on his shoulders and the challenge of recovery, he is stifled in providing the service he has dedicated so much of his heart and time to. Paul is so close from being free of the challenges illness has created in his life. This is the last strech- paying for medical bills- not something that can easily be accomplished alone.
