#McKinneyStrong

In 2016, as a junior at Normandy High School, Patrick McKinney started experiencing unexpected vision loss followed by steadfast degenerative brain lesions and inability to neither walk nor have simple motor skills.

Going from doctors in Boston to New York to even our own Cleveland Clinic, the medical specialists could not put a diagnosis or reason to why this was happening.

Meantime, while all these major life changes were happening, Patrick's attitude toward his life never skipped a beat. Patrick continued to impress the students and staff at Normandy High School in his ability to flourish as a member of a drummer in the band and, student in AP and honors courses with exceptional performance despite his circumstances.

After about 1 1/2 years of these traumatic life changes vastly appearing in Patrick’s life, the reason for this is still undiagnosed. Doctors have significantly increased and decreased different medication trying to treat him for such diseases.

Throughout Patrick's journey doctors have stated that he has shown symptoms of that were suggested as autoimmune disorders; such as Devic’s Disease or Multiple Sclerosis.

Still the reason for all of this is unanswered, Patrick never fails to give up. To this day he continues to show his cool whit and humor during his life struggle. Patrick is currently still fighting a rapid undiagnosed disease.

Right now Patrick needs your prayers most importantly. If you are able to support this young admirable man please donate anything you are able to share.

Patrick is currently admitted at the Cleveland Clinic due to an MRI he had yesterday under anesthesia. His condition has been worsening rapidly.  Devastating news was shared with us today that he has another large lesion that has developed in the right side of his brain, attacking his left side now. His good side. Also, his optic nerves are being attacked again. The Rituxan treatment isn't working. The doctor said the large lesion doesn't look typical. They are admitting him to test for an opportunistic brain virus called PML caused by his immunosuppressant Rituxan infusions. Caused by the treatment that was supposed to help him.

Patrick McKinney and his family could use some strength. It would be of gracious honor if people could pray or donote any monitary amount to this cause. Support is the best cure we can give.

Thank you and Bless you,
