He was taken by ambulance from the Huron Regional Medical Center to Avera in Sioux Falls. He was transferred to Sanford for surgery because of a blood clot but they were not able to operate because of the location of the blood clot so he was transferred back to Avera for therapy. He remained there until November 29th and is now home but unable to work and will be doing therapy at HRMC 3 times a week.
The Winegars are self employed and have a high deductible and high out of pocket max on their insurance, which was easily met after being in the hospital for a month. The first of January they will start over on their deductible so that will mean more medical expenses.
Pat has a long road ahead of him with therapy and doctor appointments in the coming months.
The Winegars are the fist to offer to help someone else in need and now they need our help. Please pray for their family, especially for healing for Pat. And if you are able, please consider donating what you can to help cover medical expenses, travel to and from doctor appointments and missed work.
There is also an account set up at Dakotaland FCU in Huron (Pat Winegar Benefit), if you would rather donate through that account.
