Help Parker Get Knee Surgeries

Our Story
I started this page because my dog, Parker, needs 2 knee surgeries - both of his back legs. Each leg will cost between $6-8K, depending on which surgery we go with.

I've decided to sell my Jeep Wrangler which has a bit of equity in it. I am going to use the equity to pay for a portion of one of the knees. I'm having a tag sale and selling half of my belongings to hopefully pay another portion of that first knee. 

Within approximately 6 weeks of having the first knee surgery, he will need to have the second done. 

I set my goal amount for $6K in hopes that I can get some help with that second surgery. 

Some Background Info
Just some background, Parker came from a high kill shelter in NYC (Animal Care and Control Center (or ACC), Harlem location) more than 3 years ago. I believe he was abused before I got him, as he used to hide in the corner whenever people came over to visit. Thankfully, he got over that! Now he is confident and proud, and protects his home. He can be a bit apprehensive around certain people, but loves every dog he meets. Also, he had sever pneumonia when I adopted him. Surprise $6K in vet bills there! (Thanks for taking care of your dogs ACC.) After getting over his pneumonia, his personality began to come out and he really is just the sweetest dog ever.

I'm a single gal living on my own and while I do my best to keep up with everything, this all has been a bit overwhelming.
