Parker's Mission Trip to Japan

My name is Parker Chenault, and I am a sophomore studying Industrial Engineering at the University of Missouri. Over the past two years I’ve gotten to be a part of multiple groups of incredible people at Mizzou. One of the most influential groups has been my church, The Crossing, and their college ministry, Veritas. Being involved in Veritas has played such an enormous impact on my faith and my life. The people I’ve met and the friends I’ve formed are some of my best friends in college. They challenge me daily to grow in my faith in Christ.
So what am I doing?
This past semester I was selected to be a part of a small team of Mizzou students and Veritas staff going to Japan this summer. I couldn’t be more excited! Four years ago Veritas began a partnership with a small church in Nagoya, Japan to help them start a college ministry at their church. This summer our team will head to Nagoya to continue building relationships with Japanese college students, hopefully connecting them to the local church we’re working with. I know this experience will be both exciting for me personally, but even more, an incredible opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of Japanese college students! Why am I going?
The need for the gospel in Japan is massive – less than 1% of all Japanese are Christians. This number is staggering. Check out this video that Christian missionaries in Japan have made about the desperate need there:
How can you help?
God is doing great things in Japan, but I need your help to get there! In order to be a part of this amazing opportunity, I need to raise $4,750. This covers all of my expenses for the two months I’ll be there. Would you consider giving financially towards my trip? If you could help in any way, I’d be extremely appreciative.
