Hello my name is Paolo and I am a Boy Scout. I am fundraising for my Eagle Project—a plan to improve the community in San Jose, California—specifically one of its most treasured landmarks, the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden. The Rose Garden has won many awards since it was first dedicated in 1937 and my community enjoys this picturesque spot for weddings, graduations, family gatherings and more. With your help, I will replace the old wood surrounding the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden beds with new environmentally friendly bend-a-board. This perimeter is a full 1/2 mile around, and while my plan is ambitious, this would be a great constructive improvement to a popular site. Your donation will benefit the Friends of the Rose Garden to fund the new border (a bend-a-board that will last for many years to come) and any additional supplies needed to complete this project. This new border will help beautify the Rose Garden in my community and help the lawn mowers and trimmers see the edges. I hope that you can help me raise enough funds for my Eagle Project in the San Jose Community that I grew up in. If I happen to raise more than the goal, all proceeds will go to the Friends of the Rose Garden. Finally, as the date for my project nears, I will need helping hands to complete the installation of the bend-a-board. If you are a local high school student looking for service hours, or are someone just interested in improving a local treasure, I hope you will consider joining me and other local scouts on project days. We will update this page with more information on the installation times this summer.
Thank You in advance for your support! Your donation will be tax deductible.
