Pandemic Relief Fund for Sri Lankans in NY, NJ, CT

The Sri Lanka Association of New York (SLANY), the oldest association in the area (50 years) was created to serve the needs of the Sri Lankan community in the Tri State (NY, NJ and CT) area. Having to live through a Pandemic is not something any of us could have ever imagined, but unfortunately this is what we are currently facing.
There are so many of our friends, neighbors, colleagues and relatives affected economically and medically by this pandemic. We hope that many will be able to take advantage of the COVID-19 Stimulus Payments or other Government programs. However, we are aware that there are many Sri Lankans who will not be able to take advantage of the available programs due to the regulations or simply because they do not qualify.
With that in mind, SLANY started a fundraiser via 'GO FUND ME' where all the money raised will be distributed to the most needy Sri Lankans in the Tri State area (NY, NJ and CT). Be assured that SLANY will distribute all funds received through this process. Financial assistance and allocation of funds will be made based on needs but due to privacy issues will not share the name of the recipients.

SLANY further provides an active and enduring interest in Sri Lanka by providing historical, cultural, religious and other non-political information.
