Pam's Surgery For Parkinson's

Hello friends. As some of you may know, my mom Pam Flowers, has Parkinson's Disease. She has been living with this awful disease for several years now. It is a constant battle for her,  struggling  with different medications and the terrible side effects. My mom is a single, hard working, independent woman. This disease is causing her to miss a lot of work and makes even the simplest of tasks very difficult. The doctors are really pushing her to have the DBS brain surgery done ASAP. Having this surgery will allow my mom to get off most, if not all, the medications and have better quality of life. It will allow her to continue working until she can retire. There is a very short window of opportunity for a person with Parkinson's to have this surgery done and my mom is in that window right now. The problem is, she is a single woman with bills to pay. This surgery will take her out of work for up to 3 months. Insurance will cover a lot of the medical expenses but she still has rent, utilities, her car, groceries, etc.  So I've decided to try & raise money to help her get this necessary brain surgery taken care of. My hope is to raise enough money to pay for her portion of the surgery and to cover her bills as she is recovering. This is a very scary situation for her, not only financially but also the brain surgery itself. I want to do everything I can to help my mom and alleviate as much stress as possible.
