Penn Women's Rugby Alumni is holding its first ever Friends & Family Fundraiser!!
With the 2017-18 school year beginning, our team is looking forward to a competitive season, with games scheduled against Yale, Columbia, and Cornell in the fall. Last year Penn Women's Rugby ended the season by defeating Yale 46-17! We'd like to see them do even better this year.
We are looking to friends and family of PWRFC to help us raise money for supplies that will help our team play its best. We'd like to meet our goal by September 1, 2017.
Our goals:
1) Transportation to Cornell ($1500): Our players should not have to drive four hours each way when they are playing a full day of rugby. A bus to/from our farthest game would help keep players safe.
2) An On-field Locker ($200): Currently, we rely on our girls to bring equipment to and from practice each day. If someone is sick or injured, we can be left without the proper equipment for practice. A locker would allow us to store balls and ruck pads at the field.
3) Three Ruck Pads ($300, $100/pad): Ruck pads allow our team to practice getting low and hitting hard. They can up our game, while keeping us safe during contact practice.
Total: $2000.00
