Family Lost All in Hurricane Maria

It's been a long two days for Frances Santiago and her family here in the continental US waiting for any communication to know that her Aunt and other family members survived, but Fran's mom Amy did receive that call today to know their family members are alive. THANK YOU GOD.

Hurricane Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico Wed. Sept. 20, 2017 as a Category 4 hurricane that left mass destruction in its wake.

The power grid for the entire island was affected by Maria leaving the whole of PR without power and an estimated 95% without cellular service. Authorities expect Puerto Ricans may not get power back for four to six months.

Like so many others in PR, Fran's Aunt and family have suffered a total loss of home and possessions. While Frances, her mom Amy, and other family members work to make sure they can get their PR loved ones to safety, this GoFundMe page can serve as a way for family and friends to help make sure basic needs are met and a new start is possible for loved ones after this devastating event.

If you've felt compelled to donate to our fellow US citizens knocked out by Hurricane Maria but weren't sure about donated to organizations, please consider donating as little or as much as you wish to directly help this family of our dear friend Frances Santiago's to be safe and well following the storm.
