I am blessed to be celebrating 30 years cancer-free from a very rare childhood cancer - PPB (Pleuropulmonaryblastoma). I am fortunate to be involved in an amazing cancer research team - PPB Registry - they have made HUGE strides in research over the last several years due to the great support from our communities! I am pushing for the future of my kids and the future of my PPB buddies as well as other childhood cancers assisted through this amazing research! 100% of your support will go to the PPB Registry (www.ppbregistry.org). This registry has allowed many rare childhood cancer families to gather every couple of years, become educated on the improved treatments, and provide our families with a connection to a community that fights for the survival of our children and the increased awareness of PPB and the research by the PPB Registry.
There are so many more cancers that benefit from this research, but there are limitations to this reporting so I am doing all I can to raise awareness to this amazing registry to ensure we can fight together to beat childhood cancer!!
In 2015 - my PPB families are pushing to get together to discuss our successes, improved treatments, and gain a stronger foundation that is needed in the cancer community.
Here is where I am going to up my ante for this request - if this campaign reaches $10,000 - I will buzz my head. Ya'll know me and this is not something I am taking lightly, but we really need the funds for our 2015 Family Meeting and the research for the future of our kids!
And again - 100% of the funds from this campaign go toward the ppbregistry.org.
