PEA Center for Domestic Violence Victims
Donation protected
The Patricia Edwards-Aschoff Center for Victims of Domestic Violence, also known as the PEA Center, was organized exclusively for the purpose of providing temporary transitional housing for victims of domestic violence and their families in Lafayette County and surrounding areas. The organization will also provide its clients with the services of a social worker who can assist them in maximizing their employment potential and transitioning to a safe living situation for them and their families.
The PEA Center is registered with the charities division of the Mississippi Secretary of State, and is currently preparing to petition the IRS for status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity. The organization is seeking assistance in raising funds to file that petition with the IRS. Once secured, the PEA Center will continue investigating more permanent sources of funding for operational and institutional costs and real estate development.
