PAL Merry Kidmas 2020 Fundraiser

The impact of this year’s novel coronavirus has affected everybody across the globe. From mandatory quarantines to lockdowns and even a second wave lockdown subjected by presidential directives in other parts of the world. In Ghana however, the situation has disrupted schools from reopening. PAL’s children come from underserved communities that lack a lot of social, basic, and needed amenities. The children have been through a lot from staying at home for months without school and also having to battle with the effect of the virus as children.  

Hence, PAL has decided to make this year’s Christmas a special day for the children.  Christmas is truly a season for giving and a time for caring. This is why we are seeking your support to make the Play & Learn Foundation’s annual Christmas Party a success! This year’s party is different and very special. The focus of this year’s Christmas party is to give the children a chance to have enough fun after a long and tiring 2020, as well as the opportunity to experience love during a season to be jolly. We also hope to use the occasion to usher them into a new year full of hope, opportunities, and endless possibilities. As per social distancing protocols, the Foundation is looking at feeding them, giving them presents, and giving them access to enjoy themselves while observing the prerequisite and protocols.

On 20th December 2020, PAL participants will have the opportunity to celebrate the Christmas season together, as well as be rewarded for their dedication and commitment to the program throughout the year. They will enjoy a sitdown meal, take part in fun and exciting activities, and receive individual gifts. 


We are anticipating 150 children to attend. To ensure a successful event, PAL is seeking your support. Please donate and bring a smile to a child this holiday season!

The Play & Learn Foundation (PAL) brings together boys and girls who have a passion for play, a drive to lead, and a desire to pursue academic and professional excellence. By targeting underserved communities, PAL seeks to provide opportunities where it is most needed. Play & Learn engages youth in programming that encompasses football and sports training, academic support, mentorship, and community outreach. We do this by providing access to fun, safe, equipped spaces that are supported by committed tutors, coaches, and mentors.
