O'ona Smith's Journey With Cancer Fund

O'ona Smith was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in July of 2012. This page is set up by O'ona and her friends, to collect funds for her treatment and continuing care.
Born in January 1978 in the parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica W.I., O'ona Smith is a single mother currently undergoing treatment at the University Hospital (UWI) in Kingston, under the care of Dr. Doreen Brady-West, head of the Hematology Department.
Ms. Smith has a 17 year old daughter who is currently attending school.
Due to her battle with cancer and further complications, O'ona is not able to work and currently has no means to support herself and her daughter; she survives solely through donations by her friends and does not have any family with the means to support her fully.
With your help, we were able to raise $500 on January 4, 2014, to pay for a much needed MRI. It is our hope to continue this fund, in support of O'ona Smith's journey to recovery.
