"Reunite the Fosters Again"

A drop of rain cannot move a pebble, but enough drops can wash away any obstacle.  Every dollar is a drop of rain, every share on social media is a gust of wind to drive the storm.  Be a part of the storm the tears down the walls that divide a family!

I am a firm believer in prayer, and prayed the Lord would help me find my 'rib', the woman as custom made for me as Eve was for Adam.  The answer came back that if I wanted the one woman who was perfect for me, I would have to search the WORLD OVER for her.  That is what I did through an internet matchmaking site.

Though, I've always known numerous qualities that drew me to some women over others, in all of my nearly 40 years, I never knew any woman even close to all of them.  However, when I met Melanie online, I slowly but surely found that she was EVERYTHING I had ever wanted.  I also found that she had been praying pretty much the exact same prayer I had... to find that one and only person God would choose for us, no matter where in the world they were.

We spent the next 10 months talking on cam every evening for hours.  Those doubting internet dating, consider this:  our chats, often over dinner for me while she had breakfast or lunch, were much like sitting across a table from someone having deep, personal, intimate conversations on all topics both happy and sad, deep and trivial, wise and foolish.

So many people who are dating in the traditional sense may spend a number of hours per week in some activity with each other, but so much time is distracted with the activity itself, or other distractions.  Melanie and I were able to spend hours each and every night getting to know each other on all levels.  It all only reinforced what we quickly knew from the start... we had each found our One-and-Only!  Our prayers were answered in each other.

With my income tax return and another one time influx of money, i was able to fly to the Philippines and spend 3 weeks of vacation with Melanie and her family.  We were able to exchange our vows and be married.

I gained a wife as well as a new 17 year old son and a new 10 year old daughter.  Everyone was in tears when I had to leave.  I left behind a whole new family in order to return home... leaving behind a wife, 2 wonderful children, as well as new brothers and sisters, auntie and uncle, and countless others... all of whom made me feel like they had known me my whole life the minute I walked in the door.

Now that I've told the back story, let me tell of the trials we face ahead.  I want to bring Melanie and the kids to the U.S. to be with me.  To even file for each visa will cost $425 each.  Once those are approved, each plane ticket will cost $1000 roughly.  There will also be other costs involved in getting the documentation they need to leave there and come here, as well as many expenses while getting them established here, getting the kids in to schools, finding & furnishing a home we can all share.

We are working to try to save, but as bad as the economy is in the U.S., it is nothing compared to the Philippines.  It is hard to find and keep a job there, especially when companies are allowed to discriminate based on age and often only want to hire those that are still under 30.  Foreign companies hire and fire without empathy or fear.  There is no social aid... if a person is unable to find work, they must either beg, steal, or do without.

Despite all of this Melanie has managed to single handedly raise these 2 beautiful children in a moral Christian environment.  Never compromising morals or the example she sets for them.  However, it is hard to save much of anything for ourselves.  Most of what we have goes to our basic needs.

It is not easy for a husband and wife to face life's trials while being denied the comfort and refuge of each other's arms.  All we can do is look in to the camera lense and sob for each other's pains and sorrows.  We know that no matter WHAT, we will never give up and one day, ONE DAY, we WILL be a united family again!

We are hoping that those of you who have read all of this, who have cared and been interested enough to read our story, may find it in your hearts and in your means to help us reach our goal!

Melanie speaks 3 languages fluently, her children both speak 2.  They are all 3 talented in song and dance.  Her son has won awards for his dance and choreography leadership. Her daughter sings with the voice of an angel.

Please, PLEASE, help me bring them to our great nation so that they can help make it that much greater!  Even more importantly, help us unite this family fractured by thousands of miles of distance.  Life is too short to spend away from the ones you love.  Help us finally begin our "forevermore" once and for all.
