One ex-homeless man and his dream to be a success!

Hi, I'm Nick, 40 years young. Since I was in care as a toddler and exited the care systems authority at 18 I didn't have the same life as many of my peers, sadly I was unable to live with my adopted parents after the age of 16 and became homeless, sleeping rough for approximately 8 years all in all I had a lot of struggles building myself up and gaining a career was almost as difficult as having a roof each night to sleep safely. Over the years I found through determination and a will to succeed several opportunities to progress as a person into a stable adult lifestyle and career, the pinnacle of which being a manager for Southern Rail, unfortunately due to a accident I was unable to work after a period of illness and have since been back to being unemployed, determined to earn living took up street performing. I made bubbles for the public on the seafront to avoid having to return to begging for money to eat each day. for as long as I can recall I've wanted to be an Ice Cream vendor, it's the life long dream I've held throughout my life and one that with your help I aim to achieve. I don't know how long my health will last as I've spent many years sleeping rough with poor living circumstances a daily occurrence. The time is now for me to work to my goal of being a successful businessman.

There are a few images of my homeless bubble act on Instagram, "MRNICKWOOD" I didn't have my own phone to take more but you can see the way it made a difference to my morale.

I'm very aware the goal is not a small one, it's the biggest thing in my life! The way I have set my goals is to build on my determination and desire along the way to achieving the total amount.  I was a regular in the tourist areas in Brighton for several years when homeless last as I would perform daily Bubble shows for donations over beg for change on the corner, this gave me a sense of employment in hard times and a pride in myself to push through and demonstrate my hunger for growth and restoration to society. Check Brighton Bubble-man on Instagram for a few publicly taken photos if you wish. The way I was able to still provide fun and smiles for strangers through my worst days kept me from falling deep into the depths of street life. That is a example of the character within me, I'm dedicated to succeeding through adversity with a smile!

To facilitate a steady forward pace I am hoping to use the first quarter of donation to purchase my peddlers license and street trader permit to sell on a daily basis in the local area where I'm well known for my work ethic and determination to succeed. The plan involves selling only prepacked items and no hot beverages at this stage, the reason being keeping within these parameters allows me to sell cold products in prepacked wrapping without the need to operate on a standalone premises with hot water on site for handwashing. that is the difference between the stages further planned for my business where in my Ice Cream van I will require the food safety accreditation and certification that I will refresh, furthermore with the introduction of hot drinks and hot bread products I will need the equipment for hand washing and food safety that can only be established in a vehicle dedicated to the business needs on a whole. My business plan is not a dream in the literal sense but it is the dream I have sought after and will achieve through the kindness of others, and it's my own perseverance that gives the project the term Dream.

A small point was recently shared with me that I want to include, Business all year round opportunities? I have a business plan that reaches further than the headline dream, one product plan I have is that I have been thinking lots of the ways to increase revenue and how to achieve longer trading through product ranges, tea and coffee are hot beverages which will require a extra license to distribute, however they're very much worthwhile as a product in my range due to the longevity and cost-profit numbers. my aim is to do a Tea & Toast combo, for the colder months and the people with different tastes.. tea bags and sliced bread (which I can also keep frozen until purchase) I could go on and on, thank you all for your interest and reading.

Please contact me at your convenience for further insight and information about my plan and my current circumstances. Please be kind.

I've been helped by many charities in my life and aim to give back a percentage of my profits to a certain charity named The Clocktower Sanctuary, the homeless charity for 16-25 year olds who are homeless in Brighton, without there support and food I surely wouldn't of reached the point in life I write to you from today. Please consider donating to them if not me. Thank you very much.

Yours hopefully
