Hello. I am Susan Jacobs and I am Olivia's grandmother.

Olivia is in the hospital after suffering a gun shot to the leg  severing a main artery. It will be a long road for Olivia and positive thoughts are needed.

On December 29, 2015, Olivia was involved in a very serious gun shot accident to her leg. The bullet hit the upper left side of her knee passing through and severing the main artery. She was rushed to the hospital with life threatening bleeding and loss of blood flow to her lower leg.  This resulted in emergency surgery to replace a life saving vein from one leg to the other. The vascular surgery team were grim about the possibility of saving her leg. She has had 6 surgeries with many more to come. She has been in the hospital since the above date and will need to be there another 3-4 weeks. She is struggling to deal with the whole ordeal. Please help us raise as much money as possible for Olivia in hopes toward saving her leg and providing her with comfort.

Olivia is 16 years old and was beginning her second semester of her junior year in high school. She loves to sing in the Chorus and do solo parts. She is a straight honor student. She loves to play soccer, run track and field, and ride her bicycle. This has been a terrible set back for her.  When she asked the vascular surgeon if she would be able to play sports again, he responded with, "Olivia, we just want to get you to walk again."
