****Old Bridge Knights Cheerleading Quest For the National Title****
The Old Bridge Knights Pop Warner Football and Cheer Organization had a phenomenal season in 2013. We had over 270 children in the program, playing and cheering at 6 different levels. We also had a Challenger program for both cheer and football. Our board and our parents worked with other local groups to provide a safe and fun place for those children with disabilities to participate. Our program consists entirely of volunteers, many putting in long hours to insure its success.
In this, only our 6^th year, we are very proud to say that our Jr. Pee Wee and Jr. Midget squads have the opprotunity to advance to the National Championships, which will be held on December 9^th and 13^th in Disney World.
As you can imagine a trip to Disney for the National Championship is a costly venture. Each girl and coach will cost around $1,000 and the 2 teams have 60 total participants. As a nonprofit organization, we operate solely on fundraisers and donations. Each year the cost of replacing uniforms, equipment, and insurance premiums continually rise. The expense of sending 2 full squads of cheerleaders and coaches to Disney is well beyond our means. In order to help meet these rising costs, we need your support!
Our "Quest for the National Title" committee is currently accepting donations to help offset the cost for our team. Anything at all that you can do to help would be greatly appreciated but any donations of $150 or more will be recognized by placing the sponsor's name on the back of a shirt that the cheerleaders will wear in Disney World and around town for years to come! In addition, we will be creating a spot on our websites home page www.obknights.com thanking you for all of your help and of course we will give you a certificate to display as well. All donations are tax deductible and we can provide you with our 501c3 certificate.
Please keep in mind that these coaches and their teams have put in hundreds of hours of practice and they wear the name on their uniforms proudly. Please help to make their quest a success.
