Nursing Care for Loncaric Family

5/29/2018: It's hard to believe but in about a week, it will be a month since's Betty's passing. The loving memory of her endures. Amid the loss and heartbreak, the husband she left behind, Dave, has ongoing needs that the family is working to cover. Thank you for continuing to SHARE this, especially during this difficult time.

Long-time Panama City-area family has an urgent need for in-home skilled nursing. Dave Loncaric is a former firefighter/EMT/first responder. A tragic accident during training decades ago left him quadriplegic. His devoted, loving wife of 40+ years, Betty Loncaric, has been his primary caretaker.

A year ago in March 2017, Betty--a non-smoker--was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, making an already challenging situation even more difficult. Chemo treatments have taken their toll. Betty now needs assistance with Dave's care.
He has in-home nurses but with Betty's declining health, more nurse hours are desperately needed.

I have been friends with their only daughter, Melissa Miller,  for more than a decade. To know her is to love her, and many of you reading this DO know her and DO LOVE her! :)

Melissa is a well-known, beloved local on-air personality and DJ. She has devoted untold hours to charitable causes in the community. She is also devoted to helping her parents through this trying time.
I am making this plea on behalf of the Loncaric family. This is a wonderful opportunity for the greater Panama City area to lift up this family and show them support. To bless them with financial assistance to secure Dave's nursing care would bring peace of mind and great relief. It would free Betty to focus on her treatment and healing.The estimated cost of ADDITIONAL nursing hours needed is approximately $3,000 per month. The target fundraising amount represents about 4 month's worth of care which would give the Loncaric family some breathing room, relieving the financial stress and struggle of an already difficult situation
