Freedom for chained dogs in Nova Scotia!

As a sister group to 'People for Dogs', No Chains ALL Love Nova Scotia (NCALNS) is an organization that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes permanently chained, tethered, or confined dogs. They do this by providing rescued dogs with veterinary care, a warm and loving foster home, and eventually a permanent loving home. Since its inception in summer 2013, NCALNS has rescued more than 30 dogs from lives of solitude. These dogs have been rescued from locations in Cape Breton and Mainland Nova Scotia and are now learning what it means to be a truely cherished member of the pack.
NCALNS's rescue efforts could not have been possible without the support of many. For example:

-the people who pick up and transport these dogs and deliver them to a brighter future
-the loving fosters who, through patience and dedication, help in teaching these dogs about all of the new sights, sounds, and smells that will now be a part of their world
-people like you who follow the stories, sign the petitions, write the letters, attend the rallies, make donations, and express your support for the cause in every way you can
While this type of work provides rewards that no price tag could ever capture, it can also be both mentally and financially taxing. Joan Sinden, the founder of NCALNS, has spent countless hours organizing the rescues of the majority of the 30+ dogs that NCALNS has taken in. This includes investing tens of thousands of dollars of her own money into the rescue efforts, particularly the much needed veterinary care that many of these dogs require before they can be adopted by their new families. Those of you who follow NCALNS may have already recognized the fact that there have been almost no large-scale public fundraising efforts on behalf of the organization, and yet, despite this lack of donated funds, upwards of $30,000 worth of veterinary care has been provided to ensure the health and well-being of all of NCAL's rescued dogs.
I'm sure I speak on behalf of all NCALNS supporters, and all dog lovers, when I express my gratitude for the resources that Joan has invested into this organization. I'm also sure I can speak for many when I say that it's time we as an animal welfare community help take some of the burden off of her shoulders. It is safe to say that without our assistance, the future of NCALNS may be in question. This also means that the future of many more permanently chained, tethered, or penned dogs who need our help may be in question as well, and we CANNOT let that happen. Please, help Joan and NCALNS secure the freedom of dogs who are still in need. By doing this, you will also be honoring the newly found freedom of dogs like Ace, Ben, Billy, Maggie, Buddy, Hank, Chloe, Ranger, Dakota, Taffy, Nikita, Tina, Thunder, Pepsi, Buddy, Nila, Lily, Caesar, Charlie, Balto, Willow, Harley, Roscoe, Abby, Gracie, Max, Lizzie, Roy, Eve, Molly, Koda, Jasper, Scotty, and Marilyn.
