Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
My dear god-brother, Dhira dasa, had a massive heart attack a week ago on Sunday, August 23rd. The consequences so far have been quite severe.
By Krsna’s grace and Srila Prabhupada’s mercy he has regained some consciousness and is ready for his operation scheduled for Monday, August 31st.
Dhira prabhu is the sole breadwinner of the family, and his work is not salaried (no benefits). It is a per job pay, living paycheck to paycheck. I am concerned how, during the 6 to 12-week recovery period of a triple-bypass, he and his wife Kalindi will survive financially.
Dhira Prabhu's monthly expense is $2,335 monthly, and for now his out-of-pocket insurance cost would be $3,300. So if you count 3 months recovery and the out-of-pocket I would like to ask you to join me in an effort to help by offering some financial support towards the $10,000 goal.
Since this campaign is my initiative, devotees who share my concerns have voluntarily come forward with $1,000 so far. My humble request is that you please offer what your pocket and heart can afford.
Dhira Prabhu and his wife are wonderful, soft-spoken devotees and are very dear to me.
Together I feel we can collect the amount as it is not so high.
