<div>Back in November of 2023, our dad was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia. This isn’t the first time he’s had cancer. Since 2001, he’s been battling one form or another. We always knew our dad was strong, but after 20-plus years we think he’s Superman.

<div>One of the greatest blessings through all this has been his loving wife Julie, who has been with him every step of the way in this last round. On top of being a nurse, a mother, and a grandmother, Julie has been his constant caregiver and companion, often despite her own exhaustion. Both of them have persevered through countless emotional and financial ups and downs, never losing their good spirits and love for each other.

<div>Last week, things took a turn when a sudden blood infection sent him to Strong Memorial Hospital. It was a scare for all of us, but thankfully he’s back home. 
</div>

<div>Still, the situation is serious. With his blast cells growing and his immunity getting lower,  doctors are telling us that another infection could change the situation rapidly. Beyond the physical and emotional toll, we see the financial challenges mounting around them. Whether medical bills, living expenses or the unplanned cost of a terminal illness, the numbers are adding up. Our dad and Julie trust God for everything, but we want to make sure they are taken care of.
