In the early morning hours of July 11th, Nick and Lucy awoke to a living nightmare. The sailing catamaran "Best Revenge 5", that has been their job and home for many years, where they were fast asleep, was engulfed in flames. Thankfully Nick and Lucy escaped with their lives but not before Lucy suffered second and third degree burns on portions of her entire body. Lucy is currently in the burn unit at one of the best hospitals in Boston. Nick has been by her side the whole time and will continue to be with her as this journey unfolds.
As those of us who have been fortunate enough to meet these two spectacular people know, they share a passion and love of life that is contagious to those who are blessed enough to be in their presence. They are two of the most genuinely humble, kind and caring people you will ever meet.

Virtually all of their personal belongings onboard were lost in the fire. As the reality of this tragic event sets in let us gather together and show our support and love for Nick and Lucy.
As these two have traveled the globe together, they have made connections and fostered relationships with wonderful people everywhere they've been. Its time for this vast network of their friends to come together and help provide all the emotional and financial support these two incredible people are going to need!
