Nicaragua 6 Week Internship

As some of you may, know last summer I was blessed with the opportunity to go to Nicaragua to serve with an amazing organization called Amigos for Christ. Through that trip, my life was forever changed, and now my heart craves to serve and spread Jesus' love everywhere I go whether it be in my community, with my friends or family, or anywhere the Lord shows me. That being said, I believe God is calling me back to Nicaragua to serve once again. I recently applied for an internship position through Amigos for Christ which entails me staying in Nicaragua for two months to give my time, leadership, and love. I am humbled to say that God allowed me to get accepted into this wonderful program, and I am so excited to begin preparing for this journey.
Nicaragua is a very beautiful country filled with rich culture, volcanoes, tropical paradise. However Nicaragua is the second most impoverished country in the Western hemisphere, and its people are reaping the percussions of this. Since medicine is impossible for families to afford on their own, illnesses such as kidney disease, parasites, skin disease, and many other horrendous sicknesses are taking over these innocent lives. Without clean drinking water, and local wells many families are unable to pursue jobs, and children are forced to drop out of school to help their families survive. Nicaragua is a country that is suffering, yet hope is still alive with the help of missionaries, and charities donating their time, money, and love. During my time in Nicaragua, I will be building wells and laying piping so that rural communities have access to clean and safe drinking water which in return will allow for these communities to further develop. I will also be building schools so that children will be encouraged to learn in a safe, established environment. Lastly, I will be developing lasting connections with the Nicaraguans, and showing them the love of Christ through my words and actions. Throughout this process, I will be leading a team of fellow missionaries to help me along this journey.
Although I cannot wait to go on this journey, Two months away from my family, friends, and daily comforts of America is going to be challenging. However, I know that this is what I have been called to do. Therefore I must overcome my fears and trust in God. If you would like to partner with me on this trip, I would be so humbled to have both your financial and prayer support with me as I undertake this huge milestone. Nothing is too big or too small, and every penny helps me get one step closer to achieving my end goal. Also If you would like to pray for me, my team, and Nicaragua as a whole that would be greatly appreciated.
