Nic Murphy RX7 Tribute Build - HOPE

All kids need is a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them.
Nic left us far too soon at the age of 19. He inspired and touched so many of us with his smile, laugh, big heart, talent, passion and dreams. However, on 9/9/2017 he lost hope in tomorrow and could not see that the next minute, hour or day would be better then that one moment in time so he looked to escape and in doing so it cost him his life. Our goal is to fulfill one of his deams and then use it to spread a message of hope to others.
His closest friends want to honor Nic by fulfilling one of his biggest dreams, to build a Mazda RX7 drift car. We have the car and the guys are stripping it down but it takes a lot of knowledge, labor, material and funds to do it right. We have the knowledge and labor part covered but need help with the material and funds side.
We will be building the car out in phases and sharing the story as we progress. We have a jumpstart which should get us to that nasty V8 engine the boys want to drop in this puppy but there is going to be a whole lot more required to finish it in a way that Nic would have wanted and that all can be proud of. The picture dipicts the end result we are shooting for.
This project is not just a tribute but a journey in healing and hope for all of us. Once done we plan on taking it on a little tour to drift events and sharing this story with the hope of touching even just one person. Nic would have wanted us to help others in some way through all of this, that was who he was.

For all of you reading this please remember you are loved. Stay positive, happy, work hard and do not give up hope. Infuse yourself with action, not waiting for it to happen but rather making it happen. Target your dreams, make your own hope and honor yourself by doing what you can each and every day towards that end whatever that might be. Always remember never to let someone else deprive you of hope and never deprive someone else of it either, it might be all they have left.
