Newlywed Fund
Our Beginning:
I can't remember if I was sitting at church waiting
for the services to begin or was walking down the hallway in the church
building when a confident Christopher Morris came up to me, introduced himself,
and shook my hand. I was initially impressed by his initiative and I believe we
exchanged some small talk. I then saw him again in Sunday School. I sat in the
front row and was happy to see that he was teaching the lesson. What pleased me
so much about this was the fact that for those 45 minutes I was able to check
him out and he had no power to stop me. And so I took advantage of the
situation. He called me later and we talked for a long time and I enjoyed every
minute of it. And I have loved him and every minute ever since.
I remember it like it was yesterday. Aubrey was
sitting in church waiting for the services to begin and I felt it would be rude
of me not to go and introduce myself to the newest member of our congregation.
As I approached her the nerves and tension began to build inside me and as I
extended my hand of friendship and name I thought "Wow, this girl has some
beautiful eyes!" Being lost in a sea of blue I can't remember what I said but I
will never forget what I felt. I knew I needed to get to know her and I waited
for the perfect moment to try. Thinking
that she would be attending another Sunday School class I calmly entered the
room that I was to teach in and to my surprise found her there, on the front
row no less. Thinking that now is the time to impress, I tried to give the best
lesson I had ever given in all my years of Sunday School teaching. Later that
day after obtaining access to her contact information unknown to her I called
and asked if she would like to accompany me on a date for Taco Tuesday with
friends. She said yes and that choice lead to 9 blissful months culminating in
me asking her to be my wife on September 21st, 2012.
Our Event:
We are excited to be sealed for time and all
eternity on March 23rd, 2013 in the Draper Utah LDS Temple. We have
chosen to have a very small, intimate sealing ceremony and will not be having a
formal reception.
Our Bridal Registry:
Since our wedding will be out of state, we will also not be
having a traditional bridal
registry and perhaps you are wondering why. As much as we would love receiving
thoughtful presents from you, a bridal registry isn't very practical for us.
Maybe you remember doing your own registry; happily strolling down fluorescent
lit aisles and gleefully scanning every barcode from ice cube trays to that
dreamy Dyson vacuum. Or maybe you were from a season before bridal
registries, where you may have received gifts that did not fit your needs at
the time. Since we have already been
blessed with items and necessities that sufficiently meet our needs we have
decided that the best gift we could receive as we embark on our journey together
would be the gift of financial stability, or at least being aided in our quest
to achieve it.
This
site will allow you to directly donate to us the money you would have spent on
a gift. This money will be used wisely and any donation, no matter how big or
small, will be graciously appreciated.
Your gift will be securely processed directly on this site but for those who prefer to send their gift by mail please use the "Have Questions? Contact the Organizer" link below and we would be more than happy to respond with our mailing address.
We love and appreciate
all of you,
Thank you,
Chris & Aubrey
