The Newcomb Family

The Newcomb Family (John, Tiffany, their 7 year old daughter and twin 3 year old sons) relocated to Austin, TX in June 2014 and were excited to welcome a fourth child  into the family.  On Friday August 8, 2014, Tiffany delivered a healthy baby girl.  Later that night, Tiffany's uterus ruptured and she had a massive blood hemorrhage.  She lost the entire volume of blood in her body and received multiple transfusions.

Thanks to the amazing medical staff at St. David's Medical Center in North Austin, Tiffany survived a life-saving surgery.  But later that day, her organs began to shut down and she was placed in the ICU.  She was put on a ventilator and feeding tube.  When she became stronger, the doctors removed the vent and feeding tube and Tiffany whispered, "Where's my baby?"

Tiffany was able to hold her daughter on Wednesday (August 13, 2014) for the first time.  Before she was allowed to leave ICU, the hospital ran multiple tests and discovered a golf-ball sized brain tumor (Meningioma).

Tiffany was able to go home to her family and new baby today (August 16, 2014).  She needs to rest and regain her strength before returning to the hospital in a few weeks to undergo brain surgery to remove the tumor.

John and Tiffany praise God for their new baby girl and Tiffany's recovery.  They feel blessed to have Tiffany home again and ask for your prayers as they continue to walk with Him by their side.

They are strong in their Christian faith and believe that this is in His hands.  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. - Proverbs 3:5.

We are all praying for Tiffany and as God hears and answers our prayers, He has placed a request on my heart for them as well.

Relocating to Texas was financially draining and The Newcomb's are small business owners who are self-insured.  They have a very high health insurance deductible and there will be many unexpected expenses throughout Tiffany's recovery.

If God places a desire in your heart as He has in mine, to help with their medical bills and other expenses, please make a donation to help.

Please share the Go Fund Me Link and if you cannot afford to give financially, please keep The Newcomb family in your prayers.
