Team Joe's New Wheels!

Donation protected
A lot of you helped me buy Joe his very first racing chair when he was 14, we were brand new to this and we had no ideea what we were doing, but with your help we were able to start something really special and for that we are forever grateful.
For those that don't know, I met Joe three years ago after he came and did a tour at our fire station. Shortly after I approached his dad, David, and asked if Joe would want to do a run with me (we all know I needed it!). Joe has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and needs a power chair to get around. Seeing as the race directors declined my idea to sup up the power chair and use that, we settled for pushing him through in a specially desgined racing chair.
Its three years later now and not only are we on track to finish our 31st race this month (Nov), but the chair is starting to show some wear and tear and Joe doesn't fit comfortably or safely anymore. Joe cant wear his helmet because the top cross bar is too short and we have had to replace some structural supports for his back.  It's time for some new wheels.
With your help again, my goal is to get Joe a top of the line, safe, comfotable and completely custome made for him race chair by the begining of next season in February of 2016.
The chair we want to get him has been but throught the ringer and is a proven design, this one should last him a while. I'm going to include the link to the chair, I'm shooting for $1000 over the cost to make sure we can pay for any cushions, spare parts, a bike boom travel bag and shipping.
Team Joe has been a life changing and eye opening experience for me and I think Joe would say he's having a pretty good time as well. At almost every run we have friends and family not only supporting Team Joe but running along with us. We have run all around the greater Sacramento area and have been cheered on by on duty crews from several Fire Departments including Consumnes FD, Sacramento FD, West Sacramento FD, Davis FD and UC Davis FD.
All of this support is what keeps us rolling one kilometer at a time. I'm going to ask for your support one more time and help me get Joe a new,  comfortable, safe and most importanktly Slick racing chair! Anything helps, even a $5 dollar donation is $5 closer than we were and is greatly appreciated. I will donate $10 for every $100 that is raised out of my own pocket as well.

(Thank you to everyone that helped me raise the intial $1000 a year and a half ago, this is going to be an awesome platform to launch this campaign from! Thank you!!!)
