Ben Spano needs a new motorized chair.

Updating my fundraiser - I spoke with Ben Spano yesterday morning. I am changing the goal because Ben's chair is very old and he needs more than new batteries. He needs a new, safer, better equipped chair with side mirrors, can travel up to 40 miles, and has other safety features. Michael Spano has been moved to St. Joseph's for rehab. This is much further than the hospital. Ben Spano travels there every day to visit Michael. I hope we can help Ben get this new chair. Please, if you can, give what you can, even $5. Ask your friends, family, co-workers if they can help. We can do this if we put our minds to it. 

Ben and Michael Spano are brothers who have Cerebral Palsy. They need their motorized chairs to get around. Michael Spano was hit crossing Cave Creek Road @ Cheryl Drive right before St. Patrick's Day. He has been in the hospital since that time. Ben goes to see him daily but the battery on his present Pride Chair does not hold a charge. They will be moving Michael to rehab at another hospital farther away and Ben won't be able to get there as his chair's batteries do not hold a charge. You can probably view information about the accident on the Internet. Ben and Michael do not have money to replace their chairs. I just thought I would do this Go Fund Me page so Ben can get at least two new batteries for the chair. A new chair would be great, but I'm just pushing for new batteries. Michael Spano has a long road to recovery. It is a miracle he was not killed.
