Bath & Hoist for Troy's Court Day Care Centre

Hi Everyone,

St Canice's Parish Homes, Troy's Court provide Independent living Units for those in need, predominantly elderly. We provide support service such as a daily mid day meal, daily housekeeping assistance and a weekly laundry & ironing service, to enable residents to continue living independently within their own community.
We also provide a Day Care Centre, that serves elderly clients living within the wider community. It is open Monday to Thursday 11am to 3.30pm, staffed by a nurse and carer. This service is very important to both clients & their families, its where like minded individuals can come together socially and enjoy a bit of craic & banter and feel safe. hTheir is lots of activity including a mid day meal and a game of bingo or cards etc. Clients personal care can also be addressed, they can avail of a bathing service provided by the Nurses/Carers.
We would like to upgrade the bath and hoist that we have insitu to a more modern hi-lo bath with inbuilt hoist for clients comfort & safety. This bathing service is a hugely beneificial service to  our clients who live alone, who may not be in a position to have a bath, for fear of falling etc . Due to covid our day care centre is closed but it is due to reopen the beginning of September. We would hope that the new bath & hoist would be installed prior to re-opening; ready for our clients.
