Help Emmanuella pay her tuition fee

I need the money to be able to pay for my university admission fee. I am a twenty-one (21) years old Ivorian refugee in Ampain Refugees Camp of Ghana. I am the last born of two children of my forty-seven (47) year old single mother. I was abandoned by my father at a young age.I came to Ghana with my mother and my elder sister, during the Ivorian civil war which occurred in the year 2011. But few months later, my sister was diagnosed with an incurable disease (HIV-AIDS).  For several months, myself and my mother had to go to bed without any proper food, sacrificing everything we have to cater for my elder sister’s medical bills but her condition got worsen until she died in April, 2012. A week later, my nephew and grandmother died. We could not accept their departure, we were submerged in great sorrow but despite that I did not gave up on my education, and my mother also made a commitment in her life that even though we are faced with many challenges in those days, she will do everything possible within her power to help me have good education.

Despite all the difficulties, I have been able to devote time and energy necessary to academic accomplishments even though finance has always been a huge challenge.

After completing secondary school in 2017 I had to think ahead so I started voluntary work with ADRA Ghana, in the Ampain Refugee Camp so I can contribute to my family daily expenses and also to be able to buy my college admission forms. In the year 2017, I  applied to Wisconsin University and I received an admission, which was supposed to allow me benefit from the DAFI scholarship, a scholarship meant for all qualified refugees in Ghana. A few weeks later, they made me understand that I am asylum seeker and not refugee, that in order to get the scholarship I have to get the refugee status. But without losing hope, I again applied in the year 2018 and I received admission from University of Ghana, but the UN scholarship team told me the same story, that I am an asylum seeker and not a refugee and same in 2019.

I greatly need help to be able to pay my tuition fee. Will start school hopefully in July ending.

Thank you.
