Tau Kofi Napata is a Pan- African who, for some 40 years, has dedicated his life to improving the social, cultural, educational, health and well being of the masses, assisting African and Caribbean people world wide. He is a homeopath of international repute, QI Gong master and the founder of the Nu Shu Ra energy cultivation system which he teaches nationally and internationally. Tau Kofi Napata is an avid researcher, who is passionate about research on matters of spirituality, health and cultural anthropology. He takes a particularly keen interest in Neuroscience, sharing with the community at large cutting edge health practices that heal the brain and generate well-being. All of these interests are to provide the community at large with practices which improve their understanding of health and wellness thus improving the quality of life and longevity, with all this said, Tau Kofi Napata is registered blind.
What is needed?
Firstly, Tau Kofi Napata is fiercely independent. Our goal then is to assist him maintain his independence, through the purchase of OrCam My Eye Camera, a wearable assistive technology device to help his vision + allowing him to assist his vision allowing him to continue the research necessary to provide practical health support to people in the community.
This advanced artificial vision device will enable Tau Kofi Napata to read, identify people and provide a solution to his severely diminished sight.
In addition, donations will assist Tau Kofi Napata to receive regular intravenous Vitamin C which is necessary for the maintenance of the limited vision he currently enjoys.
How does OrCam work?
OrCam is a glasses-mounted device that can read text, recognise faces, and identify products for people who are blind or partially sighted. The product can read any printed text on any surface, including newspapers, books, computer screens, restaurant menus, labels on supermarket products and street signs instantly relaying to the user through a built-in mini speaker.
