Giving Back Through Fashion

Donation protected
Nanichi means ‘my heart/soul’ and explains what art and craft means to me. Having grown up on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, I have always demonstrated a passion for the arts and cultures of the region; I spent most of my younger years entering art competitions and participating in summer arts and craft camps. After moving to the "DMV" area, my passion for art grew as I became more active in designing and ultimately the local fashion movement.  Art and Craft have impacted me in a positive way over the years as a person, a student and a new mom. I know that I can do much more with this gift and my art can impact others.

Over the years, I have designed jewelry for events that raised funds and awareness for the following:
Martha's Table
Kakenya's Dream
HIV/Aids Research
PanCap HIV/Aids Research in the Caribbean region
Lou Gehrig’s Disease
Capital Area Food Bank

My goal is to create a line of hats and t-shirts that would go flying off the shelves, and from the sales I'll donate proceeds to local and international charities/organizations.

I appreciate that you took the time to stop by. I am asking for $300 to cover the cost of material, and printing. I will give monthly updates on my website in regards to donations made by Nanichi once this project takes off.  If you have any charities and/or causes that you are in support of please submit that information via my website.  I'd love to hear from you <3
