<div>I wanted to take a moment to give an update on my grandson and to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart , any funds will go directly to his care as he receives ongoing therapy. God Bless you all.

<div>As many of you know, back in August of 2025, he went through a traumatic accident where three of his fingers were severed. It has been a long, emotional journey for our family, but by the grace of God, I’m so thankful to share that he has made a full physical recovery. His hand has healed well, and doctors were able to reattach and repair everything except for one finger.
</div>
<div>While we are incredibly grateful for how far he’s come physically, we are still working through the emotional and mental trauma from the accident. He has been through so much for such a young child. We are currently working with a therapist and doing play therapy to help him process everything and begin healing on the inside.
</div>
<div>Because of the level of trauma he experienced, I have not been able to return to work. Right now, he struggles with being separated from me and does not feel safe when I’m away. As much as I want to jump back into normal life, I just can’t leave him yet. He still needs me close as he works through this.
</div>
<div>To stay afloat, I’ve been doing what I can—selling my creations and finding small ways to provide while being present for him. I do hope to begin working part-time soon, and I’m hopeful things will improve even more when he is able to start school next year.
</div>
<div>We are also still facing ongoing medical expenses. Insurance has not covered everything, and the bills have continued to add up. Because of this, we will be leaving the GoFundMe open for anyone who feels led to continue supporting his recovery journey—especially for therapy and any future needs that may come up as he grows.
</div>
<div>I truly cannot express how much your love, prayers, and generosity have meant to us during this time. You have helped carry us through one of the hardest seasons of our lives, and I will never forget that.

<div><strong> My Grandbaby Boy’s Fingers Severed in Tragic Bike Accident.</strong>

<div><strong>My grandson is my world — my joy, my reason for pushing forward every single day. I have done everything I can to keep him safe, to give him the love, stability, and care that he deserves. How in a second flat, all that changed and it has me crushed HEARTBROKEN.</strong>

<div><strong>A few days ago, something happened that I wish with all my heart I could undo. While playing, he barely rested his little hand on a small bar at the back of a tricycle. In just a split second, it moved forward, and the chain underneath caught his tiny fingers. It was a freak accident — the kind of thing you never think will happen — and it severed three of his fingers.</strong>

<div><strong>The doctors worked so hard and were able to save all but one. I am beyond thankful for their quick action and for every prayer that has been sent our way. He is so brave, and I’m proud of how strong he’s been through the pain and the surgeries.</strong>

<div><strong>Some of you may have even seen me on the news recently, warning parents about the dangers of tricycles and bikes without chain covers. Most parents have no idea that these open chains can sever or permanently damage a child’s fingers in seconds. If you saw that story, yes — it was us. And I’m sorry I wasn’t able to tell even my closest family or friends sooner. My mental state has not been great, and I needed to focus solely on him. I knew that if I started sharing, I would get a lot of questions, and right now my only priority is his healing.</strong>

<div><strong>This has been an incredibly hard month. Preston has been in the hospital twice in the last 30 days, and this accident has just added to the emotional and financial strain. That’s another reason I’m making this post — so that everyone I love knows what happened, so others are warned, and so I can ask for your prayers and support.</strong>

<div><strong>Right now, I need to be home full-time to care for him while he heals. He has been through so much in his short 3 years but especially in this last month. On top of that, I’ve recently lost my Social Security income as well as my part-time job, so things are extremely rough. I’ve set up a GoFundMe for anyone who feels led to support us during this difficult season — whether through donations, sharing the link, or simply continuing to lift us up in prayer.</strong>
