Dear Family, Friends, and Acquaintances,
I need your help.
I am a single mom with a son in college. From 1994 until May 6, 2013 I have worked as a nurse taking care of other people. Since April at the beginning of my illness, I have been hospitalized 3 times, and have had approximately 31 doctor visits and a variety of tests. As of today, October 15, 2013, I am using a wheelchair or walker just to get from my bedroom to the bathroom and the doctors have no idea of what's making me sick. Consequently, since they cannot find what the sickness is, I am stuck in this rapidly deteriorating state of health without a diagnosis and without a road map to recovery in sight.
Window of Hope
Recently, 2 dear friends took action and offered to fly me to New York to see their specialist and have since purchased a one way ticket for me. Another dear friend who has been praying for me, also decided to take action, and made an appointment for me with the medical specialist there on November 4, 2013. The challenge now is to raise enough money for the associated travel costs and travel for my mother (because I cannot travel alone), and pay the doctor out of pocket. The economy being what it is, makes this request even more difficult for me as it does not make me feel good to be a burden on others. Anyway, whatever God puts in your heart to do for me will be greatly appreciated!
