Hey all.
The North Lenoir High School Hawks football teams Varsity and JV locker rooms need a makeover. The locker rooms have not had a makeover in many, many years. These boys work extremely hard from April through August to prepare for the season and utilize whatever equipment, not alot, that they have. There are less than 25 players on the roster so these young men have to work extra hard on and off the field to put together a team and represent their high school. They play teams with the same student population the have 50+ players.
And many times they are not first in line when it comes to support from the State government, local government, the school, student body or community. I want to change that!. And that begins with instilling a sense of brotherhood among players. We should want them to have something to be proud of. From having losing seasons, to low player turnout and fan apathy these boys must work extra hard for everything they get. But they do it because they love the game and the many life lessons in sacrifice, teamwork, family, tenacity, courage, honor and discipline. It is true life within a game...And it begins with a small spark from you!
I want to remodel both locker rooms, with repairing and new paint on the lockers, walls and floor with a Hawk logo. As of now the shower area is used as an equipment storage room, so I have included in the amount to be raised something to store the equipment in other than the showers and a new A/C for the JV locker room. Also some type of sound sytems for both. I am not talking about state of the art systems and paint jobs and pro type lockers, they just need functional, practical and quality items.
Any upgrade would be appreciated. Donated items, from paint to brushes and other supplies, anything that we could use to help fullfill our goal is appreciated. Something to give them all a sense of pride and worth. We love our Hawks and I am hoping to reach our goal and make this possible and instill a sense of brotherhood, pride and new beginnings.
SO PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS AND HAWK ALUMNI ABOUT THIS so they can help in giving this wonderful group of young men a locker room to be proud of and a spark to start the fire.
