According to the Pinellas County Florida substance abuse profile for 2013, 16.4% of adults are addicted to drugs and or alcohol in Pinellas County alone. That statistic is compared to 15% in the state of Florida as a whole on a national standard.
Can you image how many of that 16.4% in our county are women? Obviously, this statistic is alarming and you can see that substance abuse in Pinellas County has become an epidemic.

Today, more than 4 million women in this country use drugs, mood altering substances, have severe eating disorders, subject themselves to abusive people or environments, are under severe emotional strain facing mental illness and are in immediate danger of death, all because they are trying desperately to hide their pain in fear of the stigma of addiction.
New Found Family Recovery Center was created for the soul purpose of empowering these women to overcome this stigma. Women in these situations feel powerless to change their circumstances. However, addiction is a treatable disease and should not be faced alone.
New Found Family Recover Center was explicitly created as an instrument in the healing process for individuals who have become affected by addiction, abuse or mental health issues.
So why should you care? The answer is simple....
More than half of these adults are women. Women that use mood altering substances or activities to hide their pain and are in immediate danger of addiction, mental illness or even death. Women that find themselves in these types of situations feel powerless to change their circumstances.
We recognize the importance of these women. These women are our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, our friends, our co-workers and they are hurting.
New Found Family Recovery Center takes a holistic approach to the recovery process by addressing the whole person and not just the symptoms.
This treatment plan includes but is not limited to: Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Physical Exercise, Nutrition, Family Dynamic, Medication, Community Activity and Relapse Prevention.
At New Found Family Recovery Center, we will offer an ongoing, in-patient residential program that is based on principles and modern medical practices that have been proven effective when applied.
Our goal is to house twenty women and their children at our in-patient residential facility that will be centrally located in the heart of Pinellas County.
We will teach them life management skills and prepare our clients with coping skills and a support system that will follow them until they are able to live a sober, healthy and productive life on their own.
We all know someone who has been affected by the pain of addiction, whether indirectly or directly.
We at New Found Family Recovery Center are looking for people who are willing to give the gift of life.
In order to achieve this mission, we need donations and investors who are willing to help us reach our goal of $2 Million Dollars.
