Please help me, help my Sister

We've all been 'touched' by Murphy's Law at some point in our lives; I'm sure of that. I'm also sure that the foundation of Family and Friends exists off of love and support we offer one another along this ever tumultuous ride that Life takes us on. With that said, I'd be immensely appreciative if you could help me help my sister recover from a seemingly incessant string of run-ins with ol' Murphy and his law...because it's time something goes right for my hard working, self sufficient, strong Sister. After making it possible to fly to California for our Brother's wedding and finally being able to bring her 9 month old Baby Sofia out to meet our family, my sister learned that her house experienced a busted pipe during her absence. This pipe caused such extreme flooding in every room of the house, to the extent that water was leaking out of the baby's room window...the damage is extensive. The flooring has since all been ripped up, walls busted open and dehumidifiers placed throughout...much of their belongings (ie: Furniture) was ruined as well. Knowing that was what they returned to deal with absolutely breaks my heart. That wasn't all though...just when they felt like they were dealing with such a catastrophe with their best foot forward...the day after returning home brought with it a torrential down pour and insanely harsh winds that pounded Texas. By the next day, my sister learned that the rip roaring storm tore down her fence as it thrashed the neighborhood. I know most of you may think that emergency funds exist for this reason... That people need to be ready for Murphy's curve balls...and although I agree, to a certain extent...I believe that relationships exist for this reason. When someone you love is in a tight place, be it emotionally, physically, financially, what have you...we extend our hand, by any means we are capable of to lessen the weight. Now although my sister is an independent, determined, and resilient being-To which I have no doubt she'd find her way through this mess without asking a soul for a penny...But that's exactly why I turn to you, our family and friends, and extend the request for help FROM ME, to You. I hate not being there with my sister and my niece...So often living close to relatives and lifelong friends, we take for granted the little things we do for each other; being able to babysit here and there, or do any random DIY with your sibling or cousin or parent to help save a buck, etc etc - which I'm sure we all have done once in a while. And I truly hate not being able to do those things being states apart...but because we are able to lean on and count on our network of love and support, I felt comfortable coming to you all. Although, I know we all can't drop everything to fly to Texas and offer our collective skill-sets to help fix it all and keep costs down - I'm asking you if you're able and if you're willing,...please assist with the financial burden all of this has caused my big sister. I would love to be able to open my home to take them in while the house is being worked on... But since I can't, and they're now hotel bound throughout this ordeal,...this is the next best thing I could think of to try and be there for my sister - as she's been there for so many. Today it may be my Sister that's living through the "if it can go wrong, it is going to", tomorrow it may be your Brother, and by next week it may be Me... Life can hit us all with some near knock out punches, I'm just grateful I have all of you in my corner keeping me in the fight - and I know my sister feels the same :) Thank you and love you all.
