Mommy Bo funeral

If you knew my mommy Bo, you knew the wonderful influence she had on you once she met you. She was a loving wife for 47 years to my daddy, a mother of 3, and grandma of 3.  She was the most selfless person and always put others before herself. She took joy in teaching and helping children learn in school, and loved doing arts and crafts for special occasions or just because. She was a strong, beautiful, wonderful woman who did it all. She enjoyed her job and would volunteer at my field trips, and went to school as well. My wonderwoman.  She always made sure our tummies were filled with her warm delicious food, and our hearts with her unconditional love. Anytime we needed her, she was there.
In April of this year, a cancerous tumor was discovered in her tummy,  shortly after it was removed, more complications arised that had us going in and out of the hospitals. Some stays lasted a couple of days, weeks, and others a month. The hospital became our second home. What made it so difficult was knowing that she would no longer be able to eat full meals again,  which included spicy good Mexican, since her stomach was removed and replaced by a small pouch.  She would only be able to tolerate a few bites of food what was left of her tummy would allow it.
The last month at UIC was a rollercoaster.  The kidneys started to fail, and afterwards, everything else slowed down-bacteria in the blood, fungal infection, lots of liquid retaining in her lungs all the way up to her brain and down to her legs.  MRI after CT Scan after Ultrasound, just endless procedures and being poked for blood coultures every single day. She fought hard until the very end once all of the complications got worse. Her tiny little 4'11" body just couldnt take anymore and she was tired, she had lost over 40 pounds in less than 2 months.
She left peacefully sleeping surrounded by her loved ones. She was calm, content, and no longer suffering any unnecessary pain. Although she took my heart with her, i know she's in a better place and i have gained the most beautiful guardian angel ever.
As we all know, funeral expenses are expensive and we appreciate any amount tiny, big, or small, or even hugs. I'm just doing this to help my daddy, to lessen his worries, any thing; i know that it's not easy asking for help. Thank you my loves, Bo loved each one of you.
